The name of this blog comes from a quote from the Canadian Prime Minister Wilfrid Laurier. "Canada is free and freedom is its nationality." This blog is meant to contribute to the philosophical and political movement towards greater personal responsibility and freedom.

Is this the big endorsement all Hudak supporters have been waiting for?
this pretty much sums up why, despite his credentials, I can't support Hudak. I'm not willing to give Mcguinty the win already.
Don't forget that Hudak supported Faith Based Funding...
He's just changed his mind now.
Sorry for repeating myself, but since you posted it the video twice...
The presentation of this video lacks context and research. Were other candidates for the war in Iraq and what was the Liberals' stance on the matter, that would make for real journalism... Oh but I forgot this is a blog, so you can throw all that work out the window...
Here are my comments regarding this video:
First, it was a different context, we still believed, including PM Harper, that there actually were WMD in Iraq and Tim showed good sense in wanting to support the US, our major partner in Canada and Ontario, in this endeavour. We later learned the Bush administration had exaggerated, but that should not reflect on those who wanted to support the US in good faith. If he still had those views recently, that would be a different story, but in 2003, come on.
Secondly, what kind of message is this sending. Ontario or provinces for that matter, have nothing to do with National Defense. Whoever designed this video did not really think this through.
I am pretty sure this was NOT created by the liberals. They wouldn't be wasting their time on this so soon. They would at least wait to see which leader actually won. I have a feeling this is a desperate move, by a desperate campaign (read: Hiller or Klees).
Thanks for putting in the Tim Hudak talking points, Nathalie, but context doesn't really matter to the average voter, so it doesn't matter here. At the end of the day, if this ad was run on tv by the Liberals, the campaign would be over.
If these quotes / articles are factual, Tim just lost my vote. I think you guys need to make a statement denying he said that stuff, and quick.
Anon #3: That makes Hudak the same as, oh, every other PC candidate. Yawn.
There are plenty of good criticisms of Hudak without resorting to this nonsense.
Please, damn near everyone on the right supported the Iraq war. Many still do. I'm not really a Hudak fan, but this is a stupid attack.
