Together with Dalton/Tory

On January 25th the PC Grassroots sent out a press release basically saying that John Tory’s health plan was the exact same as the Liberals.

In response the Together with Tory website accused the PC Grassroots of being on the same side as the Liberals. Does that make sense? Well no but let’s not dwell on that. They also said that they were wrong about Liberal policy on health care.

Liberal policy is also government policy and you would think that the chairman of a hospital would be very aware of government health policy. So I don’t know how the No side gets off claiming that Rueben is ignorant. I would think that If there was one thing that everyone would take his word for it would be the number of full time nurses he has to hire. But still if you are skeptical here it is in the Liberal platform. ( page 22)

Putting aside their arrogance, Together With Tory missed the point entirely. The point is that John Tory’s policies are the exact same as the Dalton government. He has not learned his lesson at all. It is not enough to simply oppose the government and claim that you are a less corrupt version. You have to give a distinct vision. John Tory lacks such a vision and that is why we lost last October and that is why he would lose again in 2011.

John Tory has gone around the province promising to include the grassroots into the policy process. What grassroots did he include before he made this announcement? It is no wonder that he has the same policy as the Liberals. He got it from the same narrow minded interest groups.

So, Mr. Together, will you stop making absurd attacks and give me a good reason why John Tory should be entrusted with the leadership?

I didn't vote in the last provincial election. John Tory is liberal in disguise.

While Joan disagrees and then went on to publish her own rambling and somewhat illogical reasons why, I do agree with you.

Tory and his folks are all over the board, mostly without any firm ideological grounding to fall back on.

It all goes back to better accounting and better managing with the Together-Forever crowd which they mistake for "Leadership".

Who's going to get enthusiastic about their "accountant"?
