An e-mail was sent out to a group of key donors called the Cornerstone and Leader’s Council.
It was an interesting e-mail to be sure. Not really interesting for what it said but interesting for the massive screw-up that it was.
First they misspelled the name of a man that raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the party. I’m sure that Shaun Francis was not overly offended by being called Shawn. But is it really that difficult to spell a name right? Especially when it’s someone that has done so much for the party.
Second they sent the wrong attachment. They meant to attach a biography of Andy Pringle but instead attached an old newsletter.
But that was not the only thing attached. Included in the e-mail was a word document attachment with the track corrections for the text of the e-mail. That’s right, you understand correctly. The PC Fund sent out an e-mail with the rough draft of the e-mail that they were sending out.
If an unpaid volunteer had done the same thing they would have been fired on the spot. The pure incompetence of this is straggling. These are supposed to be the professionals that operate our party. It is no wonder that we lost the election.
The most interesting difference in the two versions is the taking out the section asking for input. Perhaps they need more input if this is an example of their work.
(anyone interested in a copy of the word document send me a message and I’d be happy to send it to you)

So the one section of our party that is supposed to be unimpeachably professional, the ones who handle millions of dollars for us and who go to jail if the Elections Ontario doesn't like their filings, can't even get a damn email right? I must say, that's pretty sad.
